Pwllheli

The Llŷn, found on Google.

Pwllheli is the main market town for the Llŷn, with a weekly market, a busy marina and holiday parks along the coast. Locals and visitors alike search on their phone first.

I'm based in Barmouth and happy to come up the coast to see you.

Who's searching in Pwllheli.

Pwllheli is the market town for the whole of Llŷn. The Wednesday market on Y Maes goes back to the town's charter in 1355, and people come in from Nefyn, Abersoch and the farms across the peninsula to shop, bank and see the doctor. It's a strongly Welsh-speaking town, and a lot of business here is done in Welsh.

Then there's the water. Hafan Pwllheli has over four hundred berths, Plas Heli, the Welsh National Sailing Academy, brings regattas and training through the summer, and Abersoch's beaches and sailing are just down the coast. Add the big holiday parks around the bay and the town fills up every summer.

So Pwllheli businesses serve three groups at once: locals from across Llŷn, sailors and boat owners, and holidaymakers. The trades in particular, from boat repairs and chandlery to builders and electricians, cover a huge area, and their site needs to say so.

Why most Pwllheli sites don’t bring work

What should a website actually do for you?

It's 2026. Customers expect you to have a website, and they judge you by it. Yet most small businesses see theirs as a cost that never pays back. When someone lands on your site, it has three jobs, in this order.

A visitor lands From Google, a recommendation or your van. You have seconds.
1
Say what you fixPeople rarely want to read about a service. They want to know what problem you solve for them, in the simplest terms.
2
Earn their trustBefore they get in touch, people look for reviews and examples of your work. That's the cost of entry.
3
Make the next step obviousClear calls to action for whatever matters to you: booking an appointment, a viewing or an enquiry.
New enquiry A call, a booking or a message, landing with you.

Get these three right and your website starts bringing in work.

Every site I build is planned around your business and its goal. Not a template with your logo on.

FAQ

Questions from Pwllheli businesses.

Something else on your mind? Ask me directly.

Should my website be in Welsh first in Pwllheli?

Often, yes. For a lot of Llŷn customers Welsh is the everyday language, and a site that opens in Cymraeg shows you're local straight away. English can sit one click away for visitors.

I cover the whole of Llŷn, not just Pwllheli. Can the site show that?

Yes. I list the towns and villages you cover in plain words and in what Google reads, so you can show up for searches in Nefyn, Abersoch and Aberdaron as well as Pwllheli.

Do marina and sailing customers search differently?

They're often from away and plan ahead, so they look for proof: who you've worked for, what you can fix and how quickly. Clear service pages and a way to send a photo of the problem make a big difference.

Do you work with businesses in Pwllheli?

Yes. I'm based in Barmouth and work with businesses in Pwllheli, Llanbedrog, Abersoch and Efailnewydd. I'll come to you.

Can you take over my existing site?

Often, yes. Send me the link and I'll tell you honestly whether it's worth keeping or starting fresh.

Danny at Wild Origines is so good that part of me wants to keep him a secret, but he deserves every bit of this review.

We’ve worked closely together to bring my company template and redevelop my current website, as well as effectively another new company website, and he’s been fantastic throughout. He’s worked all hours, taken the time to explain everything clearly, and consistently gone above and beyond. We’ve built a great relationship, and he’s been an absolute dream to work with.

What really sets Danny apart is his ability to think outside the box and create beautiful features that work brilliantly. He understands our philosophy while bringing sound business judgement, alongside expertise in AI and systems. It’s the perfect blend, and everything you could want in a web developer and far more.

Saying I wouldn’t hesitate to use Danny again doesn’t quite cover it. As long as he’s building websites, I won’t be going anywhere else. We’re already looking at other projects together, which probably says it all. I'd also recommend him to everyone and anyone who needs his services.

The website that Danny at Wild Origins has created for my business is far superior to the one I'd had before.

I'm absolutely thrilled with the design and he has showed great patience. Taking the time to understanding my vision and paying attention to all the details I wanted. He's been absolutely brilliant, and honestly can't recommend him enough. The evening my new website went live, I gained two new clients instantly!

We’re really happy with our new website!

A big thank you to Danny for making the whole process so easy and straightforward. He was friendly, helpful, and great to work with from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble, and we’re really pleased with the end result. Would definitely recommend Danny to anyone looking for a new website!
