Machynlleth

Independent businesses, made easy to find.

Machynlleth has a busy Wednesday market, a strong independent shop scene, and visitors heading to the Centre for Alternative Technology and the Dyfi forest trails. A clear website helps people find you before they arrive.

I'm based in Barmouth, across the Dyfi, and happy to come to you.

Search

Who's searching in Machynlleth.

Machynlleth is an independent town in the best sense. The Wednesday market fills Maengwyn Street, the shops around the clock tower are mostly run by people who live here, and there's a long habit of doing things differently, from the Centre for Alternative Technology just up the road to the Dyfi Biosphere all around it.

It carries a lot of history too. Owain Glyndŵr held his parliament here in 1404, which is why Machynlleth is often called the ancient capital of Wales. Every May the comedy festival puts on more than two hundred shows in a town of a couple of thousand people, and mountain bikers come through all year for the Dyfi forest trails.

That mix means customers who care about who they buy from. A website that tells your story plainly, shows who you are and says where your products come from fits Machynlleth better than anything glossy.

Why most Machynlleth sites don’t bring work

What should a website actually do for you?

It's 2026. Customers expect you to have a website, and they judge you by it. Yet most small businesses see theirs as a cost that never pays back. When someone lands on your site, it has three jobs, in this order.

A visitor lands From Google, a recommendation or your van. You have seconds.
1
Say what you fixPeople rarely want to read about a service. They want to know what problem you solve for them, in the simplest terms.
2
Earn their trustBefore they get in touch, people look for reviews and examples of your work. That's the cost of entry.
3
Make the next step obviousClear calls to action for whatever matters to you: booking an appointment, a viewing or an enquiry.
New enquiry A call, a booking or a message, landing with you.

Get these three right and your website starts bringing in work.

Every site I build is planned around your business and its goal. Not a template with your logo on.

FAQ

Questions from Machynlleth businesses.

Something else on your mind? Ask me directly.

Machynlleth is in Powys, not Gwynedd. Do you still cover it?

Yes. It's just across the Dyfi from me, and county lines don't matter for a website. I cover Machynlleth, Corris, Pennal and the Dyfi valley.

My customers care about ethics and where things come from. How do I show that online?

Say it plainly and show it. Name your suppliers, show your workshop or kitchen, and keep the site fast and light. Real photos and straight words do more here than any amount of polish.

I sell at the Wednesday market. Do I need a website as well?

It helps the people who met you on a Wednesday find you the other six days. A simple site with what you sell, where your stall is and how to order covers it, and it's where you send anyone who asks for your card.

Do you work with businesses in Machynlleth?

Yes. I'm based in Barmouth and work with businesses in Machynlleth, Pennal, Derwenlas and Corris. I'll come to you.

Can you take over my existing site?

Often, yes. Send me the link and I'll tell you honestly whether it's worth keeping or starting fresh.

Danny at Wild Origines is so good that part of me wants to keep him a secret, but he deserves every bit of this review.

We’ve worked closely together to bring my company template and redevelop my current website, as well as effectively another new company website, and he’s been fantastic throughout. He’s worked all hours, taken the time to explain everything clearly, and consistently gone above and beyond. We’ve built a great relationship, and he’s been an absolute dream to work with.

What really sets Danny apart is his ability to think outside the box and create beautiful features that work brilliantly. He understands our philosophy while bringing sound business judgement, alongside expertise in AI and systems. It’s the perfect blend, and everything you could want in a web developer and far more.

Saying I wouldn’t hesitate to use Danny again doesn’t quite cover it. As long as he’s building websites, I won’t be going anywhere else. We’re already looking at other projects together, which probably says it all. I'd also recommend him to everyone and anyone who needs his services.

The website that Danny at Wild Origins has created for my business is far superior to the one I'd had before.

I'm absolutely thrilled with the design and he has showed great patience. Taking the time to understanding my vision and paying attention to all the details I wanted. He's been absolutely brilliant, and honestly can't recommend him enough. The evening my new website went live, I gained two new clients instantly!

We’re really happy with our new website!

A big thank you to Danny for making the whole process so easy and straightforward. He was friendly, helpful, and great to work with from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble, and we’re really pleased with the end result. Would definitely recommend Danny to anyone looking for a new website!
