Harlech

Visitors book before they arrive.

Harlech draws visitors for the castle, the beach and Royal St David's, and plenty of them choose where to stay and eat before they set off. The rest of the year it's local customers who need to find you.

Barmouth is just down the coast road, so I can pop over whenever suits you.

Search

Who's searching in Harlech.

Harlech is small, but it punches well above its size for visitors. The castle, one of Edward I's World Heritage castles, gets close to a hundred thousand visits a year, Royal St David's draws golfers from all over, and the dunes at Morfa Harlech run for miles. Most of those people are here for a day or a short break, and they choose where to eat and stay before they arrive.

The town itself is in two halves: the old town up on the hill around the castle, and the station, golf club and beach road down on the flat. That matters online, because near the castle and near the beach mean different places, and a good site makes it obvious which one you are.

Away from the visitors, the work is spread across Ardudwy: builders, gardeners, cleaners and carers covering Llanbedr, Talsarnau and the villages in between. For them it's less about the castle and more about being the name that comes up when someone in the next village searches.

B&B Harlech Visitors booking a night or two, usually for the castle or the golf. Good photos and an honest map of where you are win this.
golf break Harlech Golfers planning a trip to Royal St David's who need somewhere to stay, eat and drink nearby.
café near Harlech Castle Day visitors at the top of the hill, deciding on their phone what's within walking distance.
gardener Harlech Locals and second home owners, often after someone reliable for the whole season.
things to do Harlech rain The wet day search. Indoor attractions, cafés and shops can pick up a lot from it.
Why most Harlech sites don’t bring work

What should a website actually do for you?

It's 2026. Customers expect you to have a website, and they judge you by it. Yet most small businesses see theirs as a cost that never pays back. When someone lands on your site, it has three jobs, in this order.

A visitor lands From Google, a recommendation or your van. You have seconds.
1
Say what you fixPeople rarely want to read about a service. They want to know what problem you solve for them, in the simplest terms.
2
Earn their trustBefore they get in touch, people look for reviews and examples of your work. That's the cost of entry.
3
Make the next step obviousClear calls to action for whatever matters to you: booking an appointment, a viewing or an enquiry.
New enquiry A call, a booking or a message, landing with you.

Get these three right and your website starts bringing in work.

Every site I build is planned around your business and its goal. Not a template with your logo on.

FAQ

Questions from Harlech businesses.

Something else on your mind? Ask me directly.

Harlech is tiny. Is there enough search traffic to make a website worth it?

For local searches, yes, because you're up against far fewer businesses. A visitor searching for a café or a B&B in Harlech sees a short list, and being on it with a good site often means you get the booking.

Lots of my customers are second home owners who live elsewhere. How do they find me?

They search from home, often weeks before they come. A site that says clearly which villages you cover, what you do for empty properties and how to book you works for you while they're still in Manchester or Birmingham.

My business is down by the beach, not up by the castle. Does that matter?

Yes. Put the right map and directions on the site, and say where you are in plain words. Google and visitors both use that to decide whether you're close to what they want.

Do you work with businesses in Harlech?

Yes. I'm based in Barmouth and work with businesses in Harlech, Llanbedr, Talsarnau and Llandanwg. I'll come to you.

Can you take over my existing site?

Often, yes. Send me the link and I'll tell you honestly whether it's worth keeping or starting fresh.

Danny at Wild Origines is so good that part of me wants to keep him a secret, but he deserves every bit of this review.

We’ve worked closely together to bring my company template and redevelop my current website, as well as effectively another new company website, and he’s been fantastic throughout. He’s worked all hours, taken the time to explain everything clearly, and consistently gone above and beyond. We’ve built a great relationship, and he’s been an absolute dream to work with.

What really sets Danny apart is his ability to think outside the box and create beautiful features that work brilliantly. He understands our philosophy while bringing sound business judgement, alongside expertise in AI and systems. It’s the perfect blend, and everything you could want in a web developer and far more.

Saying I wouldn’t hesitate to use Danny again doesn’t quite cover it. As long as he’s building websites, I won’t be going anywhere else. We’re already looking at other projects together, which probably says it all. I'd also recommend him to everyone and anyone who needs his services.

The website that Danny at Wild Origins has created for my business is far superior to the one I'd had before.

I'm absolutely thrilled with the design and he has showed great patience. Taking the time to understanding my vision and paying attention to all the details I wanted. He's been absolutely brilliant, and honestly can't recommend him enough. The evening my new website went live, I gained two new clients instantly!

We’re really happy with our new website!

A big thank you to Danny for making the whole process so easy and straightforward. He was friendly, helpful, and great to work with from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble, and we’re really pleased with the end result. Would definitely recommend Danny to anyone looking for a new website!
