Aberystwyth

A seaside town that runs on term time.

Aberystwyth is a university town, a seaside town and the place most of mid Wales comes to for shopping, the hospital and the train. It has the National Library of Wales up on Penglais, the Cliff Railway on Constitution Hill and the Vale of Rheidol steam railway up to Devil's Bridge.

I'm in Barmouth, about an hour and a half down the coast, so I can come and see you in person.

Search

Who's searching in Aberystwyth.

The university sets the rhythm. Thousands of students arrive in September and leave in early summer, and the cafés, bars, takeaways and landlords feel every turn of the academic year. Business in October looks nothing like business in July.

The summer belongs to visitors: the prom and the harbour, the trip up the Rheidol to Devil's Bridge, and in winter the famous starlings over the pier at dusk. They plan from home and search on their phone once they're here.

All year round, Aberystwyth is the regional centre for a big rural area, with people driving in from Machynlleth, Aberaeron and Tregaron. For trades and services that means customers spread across half of Ceredigion, and a site that says clearly where you work.

Why most Aberystwyth sites don’t bring work

What should a website actually do for you?

It's 2026. Customers expect you to have a website, and they judge you by it. Yet most small businesses see theirs as a cost that never pays back. When someone lands on your site, it has three jobs, in this order.

A visitor lands From Google, a recommendation or your van. You have seconds.
1
Say what you fixPeople rarely want to read about a service. They want to know what problem you solve for them, in the simplest terms.
2
Earn their trustBefore they get in touch, people look for reviews and examples of your work. That's the cost of entry.
3
Make the next step obviousClear calls to action for whatever matters to you: booking an appointment, a viewing or an enquiry.
New enquiry A call, a booking or a message, landing with you.

Get these three right and your website starts bringing in work.

Every site I build is planned around your business and its goal. Not a template with your logo on.

FAQ

Questions from Aberystwyth businesses.

Something else on your mind? Ask me directly.

My trade changes with the university terms. Can the site keep up?

Yes. Changing your hours, offers or menu takes one email to me, so the site can say what's true in freshers' week and what's true in August, and Google shows the right thing.

I let houses to students. What should the site show?

Photos of every room, the rent and what's included, which houses are free for next year and how to book a viewing. Students and their parents compare a lot of lets, and the clearest one gets the call.

Do you cover Ceredigion as well as Gwynedd?

Yes. I work in Aberystwyth and down the coast, and I'm happy to come and see you in person.

Do you work with businesses in Aberystwyth?

Yes. I'm based in Barmouth and work with businesses in Aberystwyth, Llanbadarn Fawr, Borth and Bow Street. I'll come to you.

Can you take over my existing site?

Often, yes. Send me the link and I'll tell you honestly whether it's worth keeping or starting fresh.

Danny at Wild Origines is so good that part of me wants to keep him a secret, but he deserves every bit of this review.

We’ve worked closely together to bring my company template and redevelop my current website, as well as effectively another new company website, and he’s been fantastic throughout. He’s worked all hours, taken the time to explain everything clearly, and consistently gone above and beyond. We’ve built a great relationship, and he’s been an absolute dream to work with.

What really sets Danny apart is his ability to think outside the box and create beautiful features that work brilliantly. He understands our philosophy while bringing sound business judgement, alongside expertise in AI and systems. It’s the perfect blend, and everything you could want in a web developer and far more.

Saying I wouldn’t hesitate to use Danny again doesn’t quite cover it. As long as he’s building websites, I won’t be going anywhere else. We’re already looking at other projects together, which probably says it all. I'd also recommend him to everyone and anyone who needs his services.

The website that Danny at Wild Origins has created for my business is far superior to the one I'd had before.

I'm absolutely thrilled with the design and he has showed great patience. Taking the time to understanding my vision and paying attention to all the details I wanted. He's been absolutely brilliant, and honestly can't recommend him enough. The evening my new website went live, I gained two new clients instantly!

We’re really happy with our new website!

A big thank you to Danny for making the whole process so easy and straightforward. He was friendly, helpful, and great to work with from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble, and we’re really pleased with the end result. Would definitely recommend Danny to anyone looking for a new website!
